The new state aesthetic

Fulfilling the first of their Ten Policies, Keeper Kerry II can announce today that they have inaugurated a distinctive state aesthetic. The name of the state has changed from "Holy Glastieven Commonwealth" to "The Celestial Commonwealth of the Ethereal Glastieven Folkdom", colourful new design idioms have been brought forth for official documents, and new phrases have been suggested for everyday Glastieven life.

After two weeks of hard work by two Committees of Relevant Autisms featuring Clarence, Freyr, Robert, and Tom, the Names and Designs Act was passed into law last night. Not only does it rename the state to The Celestial Commonwealth of the Ethereal Glastieven Folkdom, it also renames the High Council to the "Lawbey of the Starry Moose" and the High Court to the "Lawwall of the Starry Murus". Together, these two exalted institutions are now known as the Lawmeets.

The Starry Moose has a new seal designed by Robert using Canva's text-to-image model and the state has a beautiful new emblem designed by Clarence. Formal documents are now green, bearing stars and ivy, and there are also new templates for legislation and posters that use the motifs of trees, stars, intricate linework, Tarot cards, forests, and birds.

Even our names have been given Glastieven vibes. Legal names in the Celestial Commonwealth will now be a first name and something drawn from nature that represents the individual. The Holy Keeper's legal name is now Kerry chanta Kingfisher (chanta is Evonian for "of"). The man to whom attraction is inherently queer is Penis "Robert" chanta Raven.

Meanwhile, on the more formal side of things, we now have new titles. Penis chanta Raven and Kerry chanta Kingfisher are now known in their capacity as High Councillors as Appendages of the Starry Moose, entitled to the style of "Your Elkishness". The Keeper has the new titles Procurer of the Sainsbury’s Snacks - referencing Cookies and Doughnuts - and Lantern-bearer of the Whiteball Tunnel (the railway tunnel on the border of Devon and the up-country).

The Starry Moose (High Council) has also created a new Catholic order of chivalry for Sir Aaron and Sir Freyr - the Knights Celestiar. Knights of the Celestial Order are bound to keep walking speed reasonable, ensure that comfort is not forgotten when making plans, and keep M&S relevant.

The Hallowhouse and the National Institute of Letters have also chosen to take part: the former has changed the names of its journals and the second has renamed itself to Collegium Missivorum.

A new state aesthetic was the first of Keeper Kerry's Ten Policies. Their Holiness hopes it can bring the republic, now the Celestial Commonwealth, better in line with our expectations for Glastieven vibes, aiding it in its fundamental task of bringing us joy and freedom from the dull greyness of British and Australian concrete and work. Plus: Now our documents look way cooler.

The Keeper now looks to continue their focus on aesthetics with a consultation on the server theme at The Gathering this Thursday (19 October) and road signs in the Territory around Hallowe'en.
